It's time to visit the pond with red book lotuses, just not in the southern countries, but in the heart of the Belgorod region.
Lotuses in the pond near the village of Bykovka were planted by Anatoly and Tatiana Bakanov. A married couple brought seeds from the Far East . A whole "plantation" has grown out of a thousand grains. The place was equipped to make it convenient for visitors to look at the beauty. It is impossible to pluck the nut—bearing lotus - it is listed in the Red Book of Russia. In addition, it will still not work to carry it away: the root system creates pressure in the trunk, and if you pick a flower, the pressure will drop and the petals will crumble. The flowers bloom at dawn, and by evening the buds are closed. One flower lives only three or four days, and then withers and changes its color - from bright pink to white. So dear guests, hurry up to see one of the wonders of the world in Belgorod.
